Trezzo sull’Adda , an ancient village of Celtic origins and then conquered by the Romans, keeps the evidences of its own glorious past.
The historic centre is very valuable , of medieval style, and it accompanies the tourists to the castle.
The castle, that looks on to the Adda river from a headland, is open to the public; you can visit the dungeons, the park and you can go up the tower, that offers a lovely view of the flow of the Adda river.

You can travel through the bank of the river , that is closed to the traffic, on foot or by bike, as far as the Lecco lake.

In the hamlet of Concesa you’ll find the opening of the Naviglio Martesana, that was once sailed by the barges to Milan.

The landscape along the river and of the valley of Adda is worth visiting for the richness of his habitat.
At the level of the hamlet of Concesa, but on the other side of the Adda river, is placed Crespi d’Adda, the first italian worker village, built thanks to the will of the engeneer Pietro Crespi in the second half of XIX century.

The worker village of Crespi looks like a fable village and was recognized cultural heritage of humanity by Unesco some years ago.

An eco-museum in the open air of Leonardo Da Vinci is also going to be realized: actually there are lots of hydraulic works made at first by the genius of Leonardo Da Vinci and realized in the following centuries.

Now all these works are interesting attractions of the Adda Nord Park. Take for example the prisons of Trezzo and the leonardesque ferry boat (traghetto a funi) of Imbersago.

Not far from the living centre of Trezzo it is placed the oasis of the Foppe, managed by WWF: it is a reserve of very big naturalistic interest thanks to the rare species that are hosted.
